Figure dash

A figure dash is a type of dash (similar to a hyphen) that is exactly the width of a digit (in the chosen typeface). It is used to indicate number ranges (for example, "...pages 17–19...").

Because not all typefaces support the figure dash, an en dash is often used in its place.
