Hyperlinks
From TechWriter Wiki
When including hyperlinks in on-line material, avoid using "click here" - this will be useless if the material is printed. For links to other sections of the same site, it is normally sufficient to insert the title of the page and make this a hyperlink. For links to external sites, include the actual URL of the site, ether by making the URL the hyperlink (which many content management applications will do for you automatically) or by making the title of the site (or page within the site) the hyperlink, and then including the URL in parentheses after the URL.
Examples:
| Avoid | Use instead |

| Download Adobe Acrobat Reader. | Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from www.adobe.com/acrobat/download. |
When documenting the action of clicking on a link (for example, when providing instructions for a software application), use the construct "click on the <link> link" - and not just "click on <link>" (this construct should only be used for buttons or action links that do not link to another page [with the exception of 'action completed' pages]).
