"An integrated suite of software that accelerates the development, organization, and distribution of documentation, training materials, and online help to maximize the effectiveness of learning materials."

Can capture the execution of a transaction, and publishes this as print/web/on-line help.

Consists of 4 components:

  • Publisher: Capture transactions to Word, and publish from there to wherever.
  • Glossary: Save field descriptions (assume automatically pulled into Publisher)
  • Web Architect: Create web navigation used to access pages created with Published
  • Help Launchpad: Provide context-sensitive help from SAP Help.

RWD Infopak Simulator is the tool that creates demonstrations or simulations. Basically records what you do (keystrokes, menu selections, mouse clicks. You can then supplement this recording with notes or voiceovers (your own voice, not synthesized voice). Final simulation can be exported "as a Java applet or DHTML for use in Web-based training courses, classroom training, or an online help system". Does not require any plug-ins, players or anything else.

Simulator allows 4 modes:

  • Auto-playback: The user is basically watching a video of the task
  • Standard mode: User is guided through the task, via step-by-step instructions and (optional to developer) annotations.
  • Self-test: No instructions are provided - the user has to work out how to do it themselves
  • Assessment: Similar to self-test, but results are captured and can be sent to an LMS or external database. Brochure doesn't say whether this is SCORM-compliant.
