Using words to express numbers
Spell out numbers of ten or less ("one" to "ten"), with the following exceptions:
- Always spell out round numbers ("one thousand");
- Always spell out a number at the beginning of a sentence;
- Always use numerals when specifying a range where one end of the range is ten or less" ("Pick a number between 10 and 20" and not "Pick a number between ten and 20").
