SnagIt

SnagIt is a screen capture utility, developed by TechSmith. Originally, SnagIt basically captured a static screenshot of the visible screen area, but recent versions allow the capture of scrolling areas (although this tends to be a bit hit-and-miss), and even the capture of video.

SnagIt allows the captured area to be identified with pixel-level accuracy (thanks to a neat 'zoom' feature) and allows the captured image to be saved in a number of different formats, including .png, .jpg, .gif, and most other common formats. Images can be touched up or otherwise manipulated in SnagIt before saving. Useful options include the ability to blur or gray-out unwanted areas of detail, and the ability to add a 'watermark' to an image.
